Who are You in Christ?

On my journey to salvation I allowed myself to be guided and deceived by today’s philosophies of the world. I hadn’t found my place of worship yet, however, I did read my bible, I prayed and gave God thanks for the blessings HE through by way. However, I was living life through the world’s standards. When I read my bible I would pick and choose which passages I would receive and disregard those passages that were too inconvenient to obey; saying to myself “oh, this doesn’t apply to today’s way of life.” After my divorce I was partying big time, dating left and right with all the “benefits” that came along with it, and I even shacked-up with someone a year later – oh, he said he loved me, we were even engaged but we were still shacked-up; while still calling myself a child of God.
I didn’t realize that my lifestyle was turning my heavenly Father’s face; I didn’t realize I was breaking HIS heart. Then in 2006 I got sick-and-tired of being sick-and-tired; that is when I found my place of worship and took that leap of faith and got SAVED! You see, when we claim to know God and yet we are still living our lives “doing us” so to speak; we are turning HIS face and breaking HIS heart. However, because of HIS grace and HIS mercy HE saved me from me, and HE can save you from you! For HE loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON so that we can have everlasting life (John 3:16).
Are you walking the walk or just talking the talk? Please remember we were bought at a very expensive price and that price was the BLOOD of Jesus. HE paid the price for our sins by taking our place on the cross at Calvary; HE not only carried it but HE was also nailed to it for you and for me. So, I ask again, who are you in Christ?

Let us Pray:

Heavenly Father we ask that you forgive us for our disregard for You and Your Word oh Father. We are so sorry for the actions that we do in our daily lives that turn Your face and break Your heart Dear Lord. We ask You Father for a renewal of our minds oh God, we ask that You transform us Father God to be more like you oh God. We ask You Father God to save US from US in Jesus more Holy name. AMEN! by Patricia Vazquez
